1. About this policy
This Privacy Policy explains information handling for Shieldvexa: AI VPN & Cleaner (the “App”), shieldvexa.com, and support communications. “We,” “us,” and “our” refer to the developer providing the App. Contact support@shieldvexa.com with privacy questions. This policy distinguishes on-device content management from connection information needed to operate a VPN, information you send to support, and limited purchase information processed with Apple.
2. Our privacy approach
We do not sell or rent personal data or share your photo library, contact list, or Secret Folder content with advertisers or data brokers. Ordinary use of the content-management features does not transmit that content to the developer. VPN traffic routing, Apple purchase processing, support delivery, and the refund-review exception explained below involve limited processing needed for those activities. A statement about not sharing private media does not mean that a network connection can operate without handling connection information.
3. VPN traffic and connection information
When you enable the VPN, network traffic passes through the selected VPN endpoint. The connection infrastructure necessarily processes information such as your originating IP address, selected server, connection state, session timing, and traffic needed to route the connection. This is distinct from uploading your photo library or Secret Folder to the developer. Websites and services you visit still receive requests and may identify you through your accounts, cookies, or other information you provide. A VPN does not make every activity anonymous or prevent every form of tracking. This policy does not assert a verified zero-logs architecture or promise a particular provider, country, or retention practice that is not otherwise disclosed in the App.
4. Photos, videos, contacts, and Secret Folder
Media cleaning and compression use the photos or videos you make available to the App. Contact-management tools use the contacts you permit the App to access. The Secret Folder handles items you choose to place in that area. The developer does not receive this content through ordinary operation of those local features, and we do not use it for advertising. Original, imported, compressed, deleted, or backup copies may remain in Photos, Recently Deleted, another app, a backup, or another location until you manage them separately. Removing a copy in one place does not guarantee that every other copy is removed.
5. Permissions and controls
Photo-library access supports media selection, cleaning, and compression. Contact permission supports contact-management features. iOS may ask you to authorize a VPN configuration when you enable the VPN; you can inspect or remove it through device settings. You can change permissions in iOS Settings and limit access where the operating system provides that option. A denied permission may prevent the corresponding feature from working. Grant only the access appropriate to the feature you wish to use, and do not grant unrelated access based solely on a marketing description.
6. Subscriptions and purchase records
Apple processes App Store payments. We do not receive your full card number or payment credentials. Purchase-related records may include transaction or receipt references, product identifiers, subscription status, purchase or expiry dates, and refund status. These records are used to determine access to purchased features, restore eligible purchases, handle billing inquiries, and meet applicable recordkeeping obligations. Apple independently handles information under its own privacy terms.
7. Apple refund reviews and consumption information
If you ask Apple to refund an in-app purchase, we may provide relevant purchase-consumption information to Apple to assist its review. Subject to applicable requirements and your valid consent where required, this may include time spent using the App, a pseudonymous account identifier, total purchase value, and total refunded value. An identifier without your name may still be personal data and is not necessarily anonymous. We provide only relevant information available to us; this clause does not mean that every listed field is always collected. Private media, contacts, and Secret Folder content are excluded. Acceptance of these documents alone is not a substitute for an affirmative consent flow when Apple or law requires one. You may contact us to withdraw consent for future optional disclosures; withdrawal does not reverse a completed lawful disclosure or determine Apple’s refund decision.
8. Support correspondence
If you email support@shieldvexa.com, we receive the address you use, your message, and any attachments you choose to send. We use them to understand and respond to your request and maintain an appropriate support record. Please remove sensitive content from screenshots and never include passwords, private media, contact lists, or other sensitive information. Your email provider and our email service process messages as part of delivering this correspondence.
9. Website access and technical information
This website does not install advertising trackers, use marketing analytics, or request app credentials. It is a static informational website with links to support and legal pages. The hosting infrastructure may process ordinary request information, such as IP address, browser details, requested page, and access time, to deliver pages, protect the service, and diagnose errors. Those operational processes are separate from access to your private in-app content.
10. Why information is processed
We use the limited information described here to provide requested features, verify purchase access, respond to support, protect service integrity, resolve disputes, and comply with applicable obligations. Where a legal basis is required, processing may rely on performance of our agreement with you, legitimate interests balanced against your rights, legal obligations, or consent for an optional activity. We do not rely on a broad consent to justify every type of processing.
11. Limited disclosures
Private app content is not disclosed to other parties by the developer. Limited information may be processed by Apple for purchases and, where appropriate, refund review; by email and hosting providers to deliver their services; or to comply with a valid legal obligation. A service provider’s involvement does not authorize it to use your private content for unrelated advertising. We do not disclose information simply because an unrelated party asks for it.
12. Retention and deletion
Keep only the photos, contacts, and Secret Folder items you need, and use the available app controls to manage them. Deleting the App may permanently remove app data on the device; a backup or original copy may remain elsewhere. Support and transaction records are retained only as reasonably needed for their stated purposes, legal requirements, dispute handling, or security. We do not promise a universal retention period because different records may require different treatment. Contact us to request deletion of information the developer actually holds.
13. Security, device access, and recovery
Use a device passcode, keep iOS and the App current, and maintain backups for important media and contacts. We use reasonable measures within our control, but no app, device, or network can guarantee complete protection or uninterrupted availability. A VPN protects the connection in the manner implemented by the service; it does not replace safe browsing habits or the protection provided by a destination’s HTTPS connection. This policy does not promise absolute anonymity, detection of malware, recovery of deleted content, or a particular encryption implementation for the Secret Folder. The developer cannot restore local content it does not possess.
14. International connections and processing
A VPN server you select may be located in another country. Apple, hosting infrastructure, and email services may also process their respective information outside your country. Using a server in another location does not change your obligations under applicable law or the terms of a service you visit. Where information we handle is transferred internationally, we apply safeguards required for the circumstances under applicable law. Contact support for questions about a particular connection, record, or request.
15. Your privacy rights
Depending on where you live and the information involved, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, restrict, object to processing, obtain a portable copy, or withdraw consent. We may ask for proportionate information to verify a request, but we will not ask for private content. Some records may need to be retained for lawful reasons. You may also have the right to raise a concern with your local data protection authority. Requests concerning information held independently by Apple should be directed to Apple.
16. Children and changes to this policy
The App is not directed at children under 13, or a higher minimum age where local law requires one, and we do not knowingly seek their personal information. A parent or guardian with a concern may contact support. We may update this policy when features, legal requirements, or processing practices change. The effective date identifies the current version, and additional notice or consent will be provided where required. Contact: support@shieldvexa.com.
